Saljut 6 was launched on 29 of september 1977 and was until this time the most successful Orbitalstation ever and achieved a lot of records.

20 different Sojus missions visited the Orbitalstation Saljut 6, 19 manned and one unmanned Sojusspacecraft.

Saljut 6 was the first Orbitalstationwith two docking stations so that together with a manned Sojusspacecraft the unmanned Progressspacecraft could be docked at the same time.

The Progressprogram was the unmanned spaceship for deliver materials , fuel , allimentation and private items for the cosmonauts to the Orbitalstation. The first Progressspaceship Progress 1

launhed on 20 of january 1978 and docked one day later at teh station.

On 29 of july 1982 the Orbitalstation was destroyed by burning in the atmosphere.

The soviet boardmail mark was officially in use at Cosmodrome Baikonur on March 10, 1978, the landing day of Gubarew and Remek (Sojus 28) and a week later at the Moscow Main Post Office as a first day cancel issued for Sojus 28 (15.03.1978)
